This policy explains what information Scope Owner's Guide (scopeownersguide.com) collects and how it’s used. The short version: the site doesn’t ask for personal information, doesn’t set its own tracking cookies, and doesn’t sell data.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and doesn’t track you across sites. It records aggregate information such as pages viewed, referring sites, country, and device type. The site also counts clicks on affiliate links (which product, which page) without identifying you.
Google Search Console is used to see which searches lead to the site. It doesn’t run on your device.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. SeeCloudflare’s privacy policy.
Affiliate links and retailer cookies
Some links go to retailers through affiliate programs. When you click one, the retailer (not this site) may set a cookie so it can credit a purchase to this site. Those cookies are covered by each retailer’s own privacy policy. See the affiliate disclosure.
Settings saved in your browser
If you turn on night mode, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the next page stays red. It never leaves your device. Eyepiece calculator settings live only in the page address.
If you email [email protected], your message and address are used only to reply.
Children
The site isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
This policy will be updated if the site adds advertising, other analytics, or a newsletter. The date at the top shows the latest version.
